The St. Louis Economic Justice Action Plan has identified this area as a demonstration area for economic transformation, which includes the primary goals to strengthen neighborhoods, close the wealth gap, improve health and education outcomes, expand the tax base, and to grow the city’s population. This demonstration area has the most transformative catalytic development, the new National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Additionally, the zoning overlay, the Geospatial Protection and Enhancement Special Use District, has been enacted around the National Geospatial Agency, extending into the neighborhoods.
